Leadership Coaching
The challenges of leadership are rarely what you expect. We help you meet them with clarity, confidence and purpose.
Leadership is one of the most demanding and most under-supported roles in any organisation. Whether you are stepping into management for the first time, navigating the pressures of the C-suite, or somewhere in between, the challenges you face are specific to you. Generic advice rarely cuts it.
Realise Coaching's leadership coaching pairs you with a professionally qualified coach who has operated at a senior level themselves. Through a structured, confidential process, we help leaders at every stage develop the self-awareness, skills, and strategies that translate directly into results: for them, their teams, and their organisations.

- First-time managers: transitioning from individual contributor to people leader for the first time, and building the skills and confidence to do it well
- Middle managers: navigating team dynamics, managing up and down simultaneously, and building their leadership presence and effectiveness
- Senior leaders and directors: managing complex stakeholder relationships, driving performance across functions, and preparing for the next level of responsibility
- C-suite executives and CEOs: addressing strategic challenges, leading through change, and sustaining high performance under significant organisational pressure
- Leaders in transition: whether stepping into a new role, taking on an expanded remit, or leading through organisational change such as a merger or acquisition
Leadership coaching at Realise is always shaped around the specific challenge at hand, never a predetermined framework.
Common reasons leaders come to coaching
Leadership challenges rarely announce themselves with a clear label. More often, they surface as a persistent feeling that something is not working, in a relationship, in a team, or in your own performance. The presenting challenges we see most frequently include:
Stepping into a new role or promotion without adequate preparation or support
Managing underperformance or conflict within a team
Performance pressure from a board, senior stakeholders, or investors
Low confidence or impostor syndrome in a senior or high-visibility role
Burnout or stress that is beginning to affect decision-making and judgement
Strategic uncertainty, particularly at CEO and executive level
Navigating significant organisational change, including mergers, acquisitions, and cultural shifts
Readiness for promotion or a substantially expanded leadership remit
If your situation does not fit neatly into the above, that is not a barrier. Our starting point is always your specific context.
Leadership coaching process
What to expect from leadership coaching with Realise
Our coaching process is structured, transparent, and built around you. Here is how a typical leadership coaching engagement works:
01. Discovery call
We begin by exploring your context, challenges, and goals in depth. For organisationally commissioned coaching, we also align on what the business needs from the engagement.
02. Coach matching & chemistry call
We identify the coaches from our network who are best suited to your needs in terms of background, style, and experience, and facilitate a chemistry call so you can choose the right fit. This step is non-negotiable for us.
03. Building trust & setting expectations
The early sessions focus on rapport, establishing a confidential space, and agreeing the specific focus areas and goals for the engagement.
04. Structured sessions with defined actions
Sessions are two hours long. Each session follows a clear process and ends with defined actions and accountability commitments. We recommend a minimum of three sessions to begin seeing meaningful change, with a block of six sessions over three months available for more substantial engagements.
05. Regular progress updates
For organisationally commissioned engagements, we provide updates to relevant stakeholders, typically HR or L&D, to ensure the investment is tracked and the business can see progress.
Understand our approach & methodology

Our coaches bring deep professional expertise from senior careers across a wide range of industries. Many also draw on established coaching frameworks and profiling tools to deepen self-awareness and support measurable progress.
Because each coach brings their own professional background and expertise, the specific tools and approaches used will vary by engagement. What does not vary is the rigour of the process and the focus on producing outcomes that are tangible and lasting.

Common questions about leadership coaching
What return will I see on the investment?
It is a fair question, and one we encourage you to ask. The ROI of coaching is not always immediately visible, but it is measurable in improved performance, better retention, reduced conflict, and stronger leadership capability across your organisation. We work with you from the outset to define what success looks like so progress can be tracked throughout the engagement.
How do I know coaching will work for my situation?
Coaching works when expectations are set clearly and the individual is genuinely committed to the process. We invest time upfront in the discovery and matching stages precisely because the quality of the relationship and the clarity of the goal are the strongest predictors of a good outcome. If we do not think coaching is the right solution for your situation, we will tell you.
Can we commission coaching for multiple leaders at once?
Yes. We work with organisations that want to run coaching programmes across a leadership cohort, from middle management through to the C-suite. We manage the matching and coordination process, ensuring each individual receives coaching tailored to their specific role and challenges.
