Programme Management

Programmes are about managing a number of projects as a group because there are benefits to doing so. Those benefits vary but include better use of scarce shared resources, better management of complex dependencies between projects and greater certainty of reaching a shared goal to which all projects contribute.

Within Programme Management we will typically look at some or all of:

• Governance: roles and responsibilities; processes for decision-making and reporting
• Creating the Vision and Blueprint of what the Programme has to achieve
• Programme support, setting up the infrastructure and procedures in an effective and non-bureaucratic way
• Planning investment and return; managing budgets, issues & risks; realising benefits
• Planning a schedule and setting up monitoring and reporting
• Identifying stakeholders and planning communication with them
• Training and coaching to develop capability and capacity

We can also support you with a part-time Programme Manager to supply skills and experience you may be lacking.
